Irfan Pathan On Ravindra Jadeja

Irfan Pathan was having an interaction with Star Sports and was asked about Ravindra Jadeja.

“There is a huge difference. There is a lot more maturity. His batting has improved even further. We have always seen the control in his bowling. He knows he has to bowl at the stumps in the first one or two days and as soon as the third or fourth day comes, I don’t think anyone uses the rough better than him,” said Irfan Pathan.

“So that will be a huge challenge in front of Australia. Ravindra Jadeja will be extremely eager to bowl as soon as the rough is created as a very good player tries to give even better performances after coming back from an injury. That will be going on in his mind as well,” he added.

Conundrum For Australia

Australia will have to make a tough call as to whether to go in with 3 fast bowlers or play one of Ashton Agar or Mitchell Swepson. There have been talks going on that Travis Head will play the role of 2nd spinner along with the star off-spinner Nathan Lyon.

India will have to be careful against the likes of Hazlewood and Pat Cummins as the duo are quite brilliant in bowling in tandem. Cameron Green’s role would be quite pivotal as he will have to deliver in crunch moments of the game as a knock of 40-odd runs can be decisive.
