St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots face Guyana Amazon Warriors in the fifth match of the CPL 2021 on Saturday at Warner Park, St Kitts. Both teams have started their respective campaigns on a winning note. They have occupied the top two spots on the points table. St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots played their first game against Barbados Royals. Ewin Lewis and Devon Thomas opened for them, while Chris Gayle came at number three. After 7.1 overs, St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots were reeling at 39 for 4.

Guyana Amazon Warriors played their first game against Trinbago Knight Riders. The Warriors posted a competitive 142-run total in the first innings, thanks to a brilliant half-century from Shimron Hetmyer. It proved enough for the defending champion as Kieron Pollard and Co. could only manage to score 133 in the second innings. Romario Shepherd starred with the ball for the Warriors. He finished with the figures of 3 for 15 in 3 overs. Besides, Imran Tahir and Odean Smith picked two wickets each.
