The ICC WTC final is having a stop-start progress with rain affecting most part of the game. After a washout on day 1, intermittent rain did not allow the final to be played smoothly on day 2 and day 3, While day 4 entirely got washed out due to rain. Meanwhile, former cricketers are constantly questioning the logic behind the trophy being shared between two teams when ideally there should be one winner.

Meanwhile, in a video posted on ICC’s official Twitter handle in between the ICC WTC final. India and Kiwi cricketers have shared their most favourite thing about Test cricket, a format that demands completely different form of cricket than ODIs or T20Is.

Players from the two sets of teams spoke about one aspect of Test cricket that excites them the most. While one pointed about the longevity of Test cricket in terms of five days, others spoke about how the format demands more from players mentally and physically.

Among the Kiwi cricketers, Colin de Grandhomme, Trent Boult, Tim Southee and BJ Watling shared their thoughts on Test cricket.

I think its the toil you have to put in each ball, each session, each day is what excites me said Watling.

Going into the last day of a Test match with all three results on the line excites Trent Boult about Test cricket.

Tim Southee said that the excitement of day one of the Test match with the nervous energy around is what he is most excited by in Test cricket.
