India is set to tour New Zealand for an upcoming ODI and T20I series. IND vs NZ series will witness a three-match ODI series and a three-match T20I series. The IND vs NZ series will commence with the 1st T20I on November 18 and will conclude with the 3rd ODI on November 30.

Shikhar Dhawan will lead India in the ODI series while Hardik Pandya will lead the team in the T20I series. Kane Williamson is the skipper of the home team New Zealand in both the ODI and T20I series. New Zealand is too strong on their home soil and India will play their best playing XI in the matches. Shubman Gill should be the opener for India in IND vs NZ T20I series. Gill has not played a T20I game in his career so far. However, the right-handed batsman has shown a fabulous performance as an opener in ODIs recently.

In the previous ODI series against South Africa, Gill scored 80 runs in 3 games. In the prior ODI series against West Indies in July this year, he won the man of the series award with his astonishing batting show.

Ishan Kishan should be the other opener for the team in the IND vs NZ T20I series. The left-handed batter has a decent experience as an opener in T20Is. In 19 games so far, the wicketkeeper batter has slammed 543 runs at an average of 30.16 and 4 fifties.

In 2022, Kishan slammed 254 runs in 9 T20Is at a strike rate of 144+. Since he is a left-handed batter, he will also give a left-right combination to the opening slot.

He smacked 239 runs in 6 games at an average of 59.75 and a strike rate of 189+. Yadav also shattered 3 quickfire half-centuries in the tournament.

Although Kumar failed to impress in the tournament, his record in the bilateral series has been awesome. Overall in 2022, the medium-pacer accounts for 36 wickets in 30 T20I matches at an average of 18.81 and an economy of 7.0.
