LSG vs MI: Watch - Ishan Kishan's Miserable Innings Comes To An End In A Freakish Manner
Mumbai Indians (MI) opener Ishan Kishan played one of the most miserable knocks against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and it came to an end in the unluckiest fashion.
LSG put up 168 on the board after batting first courtesy of a one-man show from their skipper, KL Rahul. He scored his 2nd century of the season, both coming against Mumbai, in just 61 balls.
In response, the under-pressure Rohit Sharma took on the initiative and smashed the bowlers around the park. He raced away to 31 off 19 balls inside the powerplay but Kishan at the other end was struggling.
He could barely time the ball and also failed to rotate the strike, scoring at a rate of less than 50. He was finally put out of his misery by Ravi Bishnoi. The leggie bowled an innocuous delivery and Kishan went chasing after it.
Kishan managed a thin under-edge that bounced directly off of the wicket-keeper, Quinton de Kock’s boot, and popped up in the air for Jason Holder, standing at first slip, to pouch a simple catch.
LSG playing XI: Quinton de Kock (wk), KL Rahul (c), Manish Pandey, Krunal Pandya, Deepak Hooda, Ayush Badoni, Marcus Stoinis, Jason Holder, Dushmantha Chameera, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohsin Khan
