RR vs MI- Prediction, Who Will Win The Match Between Rajasthan Royals vs Mumbai Indians IPL 2021 Match 51. Rajasthan Royals will take on Mumbai Indians in the 51st match of IPL 2021 on Tuesday at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Both the teams are sitting at the bottom half of the points table but still are in the contention of making the playoffs.
Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians have 10 points each but Rajasthan Royals have a better net run rate than MI.
Whosoever loses this game are likely to ruin their chances of reaching the playoffs. Both the teams would look to dish out their best performance in what is expected to be a thrilling contest. Rajasthan Royals would be high on confidence as they are coming into the game on the back of a morale-boosting 7-wicket win over table-toppers Chennai Super Kings.
Riding on Ruturaj Gaikwad’s sensational hundred, CSK posted a formidable 189-run total in the first innings. All the bowlers were hammered for sixes all around the park. Tewatia was the most successful of them, picking 3 for 39 in 4 overs. Rajasthan Royals made a strong comeback in the second innings. Ewin Lewis and Yashasvi Jaiswal gave the team a solid start in the powerplay.
The duo scored boundaries all across the park and notched a 70-run mark inside the first five overs. Lewis got out after a solid 12-ball 27-run cameo but Jaiswal continued his fireworks. He went on to score his maiden half-century off just 21 balls, including 6 fours and 3 sixes. Later, Shivam Dube ripped apart CSK’s bowling attack as he hit some gigantic sixes during his stay in the middle.
The southpaw played an unbeaten 64-run knock off just 42 balls to help the side chase down the score in just 17.3 overs. RR might make a change or two in the bowling department, but as far as batting is concerned, you shouldn’t expect any change to take place.
On the other hand, Mumbai Indians are enduring a torrid run in IPL 2021, having only managed to win 5 games out of 12 and thus are sitting at number seven on the points table. They lost their last game against Delhi Capitals by 4 wickets. Once again, their middle-order failed to step up as MI could only manage to score 129 runs in the first innings.
Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock too couldn’t make a significant contribution. Suryakumar Yadav, though, looked solid till the time he was there at the crease. He scored 33 runs in 26, balls, a knock which was laced with 2 fours and as many as sixes. Their bowlers fought hard and picked wickets at regular intervals, however, there wasn’t a lot of runs on the board to defend for MI.
Rajasthan Royals have a weak bowling unit and MI could make use of that to their advantage. If they put on a good total on the board if batted first, they have a good chance of winning this game.
