IND vs WI 4th T20I: India’s Playing XI for West Indies. India takes on West Indies in the 4th T20I in Florida, Lauderhill on Saturday, August 12. It is a must-win match for the Men in Blue to stay alive in the five-match series. The fifth and final T20I will also be played at the same venue on Sunday.

After back-to-back losses in the first two T20Is, India won the third T20I on the back of Suryakumar Yadav’s belligerent batting. he scored 83 off 44 balls to set up India’s chase of 160 which was finished off by Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya.

Kuldeep Yadav delivered the ball with his spell of 3/28 before the batters did their job. Tilak Varma’s consistent run-making has been India’s biggest positive so far in the tournament. SKY getting back into form in the last game is a good sign as well.

However, concerns remain in India’s opening combination and in the death bowling. Shubman Gill has struggled for form in this entire series. Despite low scores in the first two T20Is, Gill played the third T20I and scored just six. Thus the concern is about finding an ideal opening combination. In this article, we predict India’s likely playing combination for the fourth must-win T20I against West Indies In Florida.

Both have struggled in the T20I series so far. It is predicted that one of them might make it to the XI. It will be interesting to see who the management trusts in the fourth T20I.

Jaiswal made his T20I debut in the third T20I and scored just one. He was dismissed trying to play an attacking shot very early in his innings. He should get another chance in the playing XI.

Suryakumar Yadav

SKY will slot in at three. In the absence of Virat and Rohit, he has the most T20I runs for India. He batted brilliantly in the third T20I. and showed signs of a return to form. If India has to win the fourth T20I Surya has to score runs again.

Tilak Varma

The southpaw will slot in at four. In the three T20Is so far, Tilak Varma has scored 39, 51 and 49. After missing his fifty in the previous game, he has another opportunity in the fourth T20I.

Hardik Pandya (C)

Pandya will slot in at five. He scored 20 with the bat and also bowled three overs. His selfish act of not allowing Tilak to get his second T20I fifty was hugely criticized in the last game but he brushed it aside. It is a must-win game for India and his leadership will be tested.

Sanju Samson

Samson will bat at six. So far in the three matches, he has batted twice. He scored 12 in the first T20I and just seven in the second. His glovework was criticized in the third T20I. If Kishan plays, Samson might well be benched.

Axar Patel / Umran Malik

Depending on the pitch and the conditions India should ideally choose between Axar Patel and Umran Malik. Patel has not batted at his best in the series so far and Umran’s pace is always handy against the West Indian big hitters.

Arshdeep will lead the Indian pace attack. So far he is the only Indian pacer who has looked like getting a wicket in the series. Arshdeep has picked three wickets from three games so far. He is six short of 50 T20I wickets for India.

Mukesh Kumar / Avesh Khan

Mukhesh played the first two T20Is but could not make an impact with the ball. There is a chance for Avesh Khan to get a game at Lauderhill. He made a comeback to the T20I squad after a long time. He played his last T20I in August 2022.

Kuldeep Yadav

Kuldeep has been India’s strike bowler in the T20I series. He missed the second T20I with an injury but picked up four wickets in two T20Is and is leading the wicket-taking list. He went past 50 T20I wickets in the previous game.
