Young Indian batsman Prithvi Shaw has come up with a strong message after his poor show in Australia. The young Indian opener has been the target of trolls and social media abuse since his selection for the first Test. Shaw did not have a good IPL and couldn’t perform well in the practice games for India.

However, the team management decided to stick to Prithvi Shaw and his name was placed in the first eleven for the first Test. Ever since then, a lot of former cricketers and fans have questioned his place in the Indian team. Some were even shocked that Shubman Gill wasn’t picked.

Prithvi Shaw Comes Up With A Strong Message

Shaw’s poor run continued when he took to the field against Australia. In the first innings of the first Test, he departed on the 2nd ball of the game. In the second innings, he came out to bat and scored just a couple of runs. He was bowled by Pat Cummins in a similar manner. His identical dismissals led to a lot of trolls. Now, Prithvi Shaw has come up with a strong message.

Shaw took to Instagram and wrote, “If sometimes people demotivate you for you try to do, that means you can do that but they can’t.’  This is clearly an indication towards the trolls. Shaw was all over social media during the Adelaide Test for his poor show. However, a lot of former cricketers have also advocated his stay in the Indian team.

Team India To Take On The Kangaroos In The Boxing Day Test

The Indian Cricket Team will now lock horns with Australia on the boxing day. Both the teams will step up in the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) to contest for the second Test. India had a shameful defeat in the first Test. The Australian bowlers disseminated the Indian batsmen in the third innings.

India made an unwanted record of their lowest-ever total in Test cricket on Saturday. The Australian pacers restricted the Men in Blue to 36-9. A fractured arm has ruled out Mohammed Shami of the Test series. In such conditions, it will be interesting to see how India react in the second Test.
