Most Wickets in IPL

This list celebrates the achievement of the bowlers who have made a big impact in the IPL with their consistent bowling performance. The following list shows the names of the bowlers who have taken most wickets in IPL.

Taking wickets consistently in T20s is not an easy task especially considering the present day conditions when most of the rules favour the batters. With a bowler only getting a maximum of 4 overs to bowl in a match, he hardly gets the opportunity to bolster his wicket tally.

However, some bowlers have still managed to make a huge mark in the IPL. They have registered their names in the IPL's history with their splendid performances with the ball over the years. Pitches in IPL have generally supported the batsmen but these bowlers have still managed to make their presence felt on a consistent basis.

At present, India spinner Yuzvendra Chahal holds the record for taking most wickets in IPL. The leg-spinner has picked up a staggering 205 wickets in the tournament so far. He is the only bowler with 200 or more wickets in the tournament. 

Chahal is followed by former India spinner Piyush Chawla who has picked up 192 wickets. Dwayne Bravo is the highest wicket-taking fast-bowler in the competition. The former West Indies allrounder has taken 183 wickets in the IPL. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Sunil Narine complete the top five of players with most wickets in the IPL.
