Most Hundreds in IPL History

This list honours the players who have scored most centuries in the IPL. Scoring a century is one of the toughest tasks in cricket and the difficulty only increases when the format is T20. With only 120 balls in an innings, a batsman needs to be at his absolute best to reach the triple digit mark. 

Scoring a century in the shortest format of the game needs a perfect cocktail of consistency, timing as well as power-hitting. The batsmen need to be at their toes throughout the innings to score a century. Failing to capitalise even on a handful of deliveries could cost them the precious achievement of scoring a century in T20s.

Over the years in the IPL, a number of batsmen have managed to master the art of scoring big in the 20-over format. The players have not only entertained the cricketing world with their blistering knocks but have also made a huge contribution in their team's achievements.

At present, Royal Challengers Bengaluru's Virat Kohli holds the record for scoring most centuries in the IPL. The former India skipper has scored eight centuries in the competition so far including four centuries in one season. He is followed by England's T20 World Cup-winning captain Jos Buttler who has hit seven tons in the IPL so far.

Chris Gayle is at the third spot with six centuries while Shubman Gill and KL Rahul complete the top five. Both Gill and Rahul have scored 4 centuries in the IPL so far.
