Most Runs in IPL History

Scoring runs consistently in the shortest format of the game is not an easy task. Over the years, most of the batsmen have struggled for consistency in T20s even though they have played a number of match-winning knocks. However, there have been some exceptions and here we are taking a look at such players.

The following list contains the names of the players who feature in the list of most runs in the IPL. Since the inaugural season of the IPL in 2008, several batsmen have made a name for themselves with their consistency in the biggest T20 league of the world.

The batsmen have managed to make it to this elite list after showing their undeniable ability to score under pressure against world class bowlers and in various conditions. Unsurprisingly, the batsmen have made it to the IPL's history by scoring heavily season after season. This list celebrates the remarkable consistency and performance of such players. 

At present, Indian batting superstar Virat Kohli is sitting at the top of the list. Very few batsmen have been as consistent as Kohli in the IPL in the last one decade or so. The former India skipper is the only player to score more than 7000 runs in the IPL so far. He has also breached the 8000-run mark and is followed by Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, David Warner and Suresh Raina.
