The IPL 2022 season has been one of the best one in terms of class batsmanship on show. As many as six centuries have been scored this season, perhaps the most in one IPL season. Over 950 sixes and 1500 fours have been already hit in the season with the season approaching the playoffs.

Jos Buttler has scored three centuries, KL Rahul two and Quinton de Kock one. Two centuries each have been scored at the Brabourne, Wankhede and DY Patil Stadium. In this article, we take a look at the top five highest scores of the season.

5) KL Rahul 103 * vs MI, Wankhede Stadium

This was Rahul’s second ton of the season and the second vs Mumbai Indians. Lucknow won the game against Mumbai. Rahul sits second on the list of highest run-getters with 537 runs from 14 games. They will play the Eliminator in Kolkata against either DC or RCB.

4) Jos Buttler- 103 vs KKR, Brabourne

This was Buttler’s second ton of the season. He scored 103 off 61 deliveries with nine fours and five sixes His knock helped Rajasthan Royals win after KKR gave their best to chase down the score. Buttler is currently topping the run-scoring charts with 629 runs for the season so far.

3) KL Rahul -103 * vs MI, Brabourne

KL Rahul scored two identical scores of 103 against Mumbai Indians. He took a special liking to Mumbai Indians bowlers as he tonked them all around the park. He has scored 867 runs against Mumbai so far in his IPL career.

2) Jos Buttler – 116 vs DC, Wankhede

This was Jos Buttler’s third ton of IPL 2022. Since that 116 against Delhi Capitals, Buttler has tapered off his form in the ongoing season. In his last seven games, he has scored just over 100 runs and he needs to improve on it now heading into the playoffs.

1) Quinton de Kock – 140 vs KKR, Brabourne

De Kock holds the record for the highest individual score for this season so far. He scored an unbeaten 140 against Kolkata in Lucknow’as last league game of the season. They won it by the narrowest margin of two runs after a good response from the KKR batters. He hit 10 fours and as many sixes in his knock which has now taken him to 502 runs for the season.
