Highest Batting Average in IPL History

This list shows the names of the players with the highest batting average in the IPL. In a format where a team faces only 120 deliveries, batsmen usually struggle to maintain a good batting average. For those who don't know, a player's batting average is usually calculated by dividing the total number of runs scored by him by the number of times he has been out.

In T20s, the focus is more on the strike-rate. The players usually focus on scoring as quickly as possible instead of taking their time before scoring big. Unsurprisingly, most of the players have struggled to maintain a good batting average in IPL.

However, few batsmen have turned out to be an exception, leaving one and all impressed with their remarkable consistency. The batsmen have scored runs consistently in the IPL and have shown that it is possible to maintain a good batting average even in the shortest format of the game.

Among players who have played at least 20 games in the IPL, New Zealand's Devon Conway has the highest batting average. The left-handed batsman has a batting average of 48.63. He is followed by Sai Sudharsan who has a batting average of 47. Conway and Sudarshan are followed by KL Rahul, Iqbal Abdulla and Ruturaj Gaikwad in the top five.
